LONDON (AFP) – Norwich striker Cameron Jerome struck twice to seal a 2-1 win over Bolton that put his side’s Championship promotion challenge back on track on Friday.
Neil Adams’ side had gone five games without a win prior to the clash at Carrow Road.
But former Stoke targetman Jerome lifted the Canaries into third place, behind leaders Derby and second placed Watford on goal difference, as he netted in the 12th and 61st minutes to see off Neil Lennon’s Bolton.
It was just reward for an industrious showing from Norwich, who hadn’t won at home in the second tier since August 19.
Bolton set up a nervous finish for the hosts when they scored in the 86th minute through South Korea midfielder Lee Chung-yong’s close-range finish.
