THE Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports will be holding the ‘ONE ASIA Joint Concert 2014 – AUN J Classic Orchestra’ as a joint concert of cultural exchange between Japanese and Bruneian traditional musicians on December 3 at 7.30pm at the International Convention Centre.
AUN J Classic Orchestra is a musical ensemble comrising eight young Japanese instrument players, who convey the charm of Japan to the world through traditional Japanese music.
Their performances have received great acclaim across Europe and Asia and they have performed at concerts like the 2010 France UNESCO World Heritage Site “Mont-Saint-Michel” Concert and 2013 Cambodia UNESCO World Heritage Site “Angkor Wat” Concert.
Five young Bruneian artistes from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports will also showcase their talents and bring additional excitement to the concert. The audience can also enjoy a collaborative performance by the Japanese and Bruneian artistes.
This is an official event to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Friendship between Japan and Brunei Darussalam. It is open to the public, free-of-charge and aims to promote cultural awareness and exchange between the people of Brunei and Japan.
