MADAM Yang Jian, the former Deputy Director General of Asian Affairs under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, yesterday, arrived in the country as the new Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam.
Present at the Brunei International Airport to welcome the arrival of Madam Yang Jian were officials from the Embassy of People’s Republic of China in Brunei and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MoFAT).
In a brief statement, Madam Yang Jian said that she is looking forward to further establish the already strong bilateral relationship between Brunei Darussalam and China.
She added that there is still room for further cooperation between both countries.
Madam Yang Jian is the third Chinese female ambassador to be posted in Brunei after Madam Yang Yanyi and Madam Tong Xiaoling.
