AS TELEKOM Brunei Berhad (TelBru)’s broadband services have evolved over the years, customers’ expectations of higher speed have gone up.
Often left disappointed, they lodge complaints about the speed of their Internet connection.
At a press conference held to announce the company’s new pricing plans, it was made clear that Internet speed is dependent on the number of devices connected to one’s network, as well as the rate of data consumption by each of those devices.
It was explained that with an average of seven to eight users with multiple devices connected to the same network simultaneously, an increase of bandwidth will ultimately be necessary to ensure faster connection.
“We have conducted awareness programmes to make customers understand that when you have more users, you need more bandwidth,” explained Chief Marketing Officer Lim Ming Soon.
TelBru’s introduction of the 40 per cent drop in pricing plans is also part of its efforts to encourage customers who experience unsatisfactory Internet connections to move up a bandwidth at affordable costs with fewer limitations on simultaneous active connections.
