THE Neighbourhood Watch programme has stepped up efforts in crime prevention with yet another patrol conducted by the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) together with the Community Policing Unit led by Kg Lambak B Village Head Major (Rtd) Hj Mohd Jair bin Haji Abd Wahab and police personnel from the Berakas Police Station.
The patrol, from 8.30pm to 11pm on Wednesday, aimed at enhancing relations between the RBPF and villagers, and to heighten safety and security awareness among the public.
Eighteen villagers together with the Acting OCS of Berakas Police Station and police personnel patrolled the Kg Lambak B housing area, which is home to 4,100 people, covering the area spanning Simpang 284 in Jalan Pasir Berakas all the way up to Spg 160 of Jalan Pasir Berakas.
Members of the public keen on volunteering as part of the ‘Pengawasan Kejiranan’ are advised to seek further information from their respective village heads.
Additionally, the public is reminded to remain vigilant and to notify the police and their village head of any suspicious activities in their area.
