AS PART of an ongoing programme to instil a sense of solidarity, patriotism, nationalism and love towards the nation, monarch and religion, the Nationalism and Social Division of the Information Department yesterday held a briefing for students of Sayyidina Hassan Secondary School (SMSH).
Delivering the briefing was an officer from the Information Department, Awg Hj Dayang bin Hj Kassim, who stressed that the briefing was aimed at instilling the spirit of understanding while embracing the national flag and anthem based on the philosophy of Malay Islamic Monarchy, which are among the roles and responsibilities of a Brunei citizen.
The briefing proceeded with the singing of the national anthem, and also included a video presentation on the national flag published by the Nationalism and Social Division of the Information Department and also a quiz.
The briefing by the Information Department was an important component of the Nationalism Briefing Programme organised by the department on ‘Embracing the National Flag and National Anthem’, designed for schools and colleges throughout the nation.
