SIBU (Bernama) – The High Court yesterday ordered former businessman Jacob Tiang Lee Yee,44, who is charged with murdering his wife and two children and attempting to murder another son, to enter his defence.
In her ruling after the conclusion of the prosecution’s case, Judge Supang Lian pointed out that a prima facie case on four of the five charges against him had been made.
Forty-two witnesses were called by the prosecution to prove the elements of charges against the accused during the hearing lasting 32 days.
Tiang faces three murder charges under Section 302 of the Penal Code for causing the death of Ling Yung Ming, 44, (his wife), Christine Tiang Soon Ai, 14, (daughter)and Victor Tiang Soon Sheng, two,(son) on July 5 last year between 6.20am to 9.50am at their house in Pulau Li Hua Housing estate.
