A DELEGATION from Malaysia’s National Service Training Department which is here on a three-day visit paid a visit to the Sultanate’s National Service Programme (PKBN) Temporary Camp at the Sports Village in Berakas yesterday.
The delegation comprising 50 officials from Malaysia, led by Director-General Dato’ Abdul Hadi bin Awang Kechil, was welcomed by a parade of PKBN Trainees from the third intake at the PKBN Camp.
This was followed by a briefing on PKBN’s history, role and objectives by PKBN Camp Commandant, Major (Rtd) Mohammad bin Dollah, who also shed light on some of the activities lined up for the 13-week programme, as well as improvements made during the past intakes of the PKBN since its inception in December 2011.
A video clip on PKBN’s new training ground in Kg Batu Apoi, Temburong was also shared with the delegation.
A dialogue session was later held between the Alumni Team of the National Service Programme (PAPKBN) and National Service Volunteer Brigade (BSKN).
The director-general also toured the PKBN Camp’s facilities and had the opportunity to witness classroom and physical training sessions in progress.
