THE football event for the Brunei Darussalam National Games (SKBD) 2014 concluded yesterday evening at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.
The Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) was crowned champions after defeating Brunei Muara District 2-0 in the finals.
Lance Corporal Mohd Baharin bin Hamidon scored the first goal in the 58th minute and Lieutenant (Air Force) Amzar Mu’az bin Tamit scored the second goal in the 67th minute.
The bronze medal went to Royal Brunei Police Forces Sports Council (MS PDB) after defeating Belait District 3-1 in the bronze medal match at the Track & Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium Sports Complex in Berakas.
Hamizan Aziz bin Sulaiman scored the only goal for Belait District in the 14th minute.
The police force’s Lance Corporal Jasriman bin Hj Johari scored the first and third goal in the 24th and 54th minute, while Police Constable Mohd Fazizul bin Hussin scored the second goal in the 38th minute.
Hj Ahmad Baihaki bin POKDG Hj Md Taha, Director of Administration and Finances, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports presented the medals to the winners of the tournament.
