THE Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) held a Thanksgiving Doa for 20 officers and staff at the ministry including three Haj Bi’thah officials who will be performing the Haj this year.
The chief guest at the event was the Minister of Religious Affairs, Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohammad bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman.
Also present were the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar; Permanent Secretary at the MoRA, Haji Mohd ‘Abdoh bin Dato Seri Setia Haji Abd Salam; Acting Permanent Secretary at the ministry, Haji Harun bin Haji Junid and other senior officers.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by the handing over of contributions to the intending pilgrims by the Minister of Religious Affairs.
The first flight carrying Haj pilgrims is scheduled to depart Brunei Darussalam today at 1.04pm and is expected to arrive in Madinah at 5.34pm (Madinah time). The second flight will depart on Thursday at 1.21pm and will arrive at 5.51pm.
