ABOUT 500 participants who attended courses organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) in 2013-2014 received their certificates at a ceremony jointly hosted by the Department of Human Resources Development (HRD) and Planning of the Department of Administration, Department of Islamic Studies, Department of Syariah Affairs and Islamic Legal Unit. The certificate presentation took place at the Hua Ho Manggis Ballroom yesterday.
The guest of honour was the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the MoRA, Haji Harun bin Haji Junid. Also present were Director of Administration of MoRA, Haji Zulkifli bin Panglima Asgar Dato Paduka Haji Abdullah, heads of department and senior officers of MoRA.
The ceremony began with a welcoming note by Head of HRD and Planning, Administration Department at MoRA, Haji Sufri Kurus, who noted that human resources is the main factor that determines the development level of an organisation.
To assist the ministry to continuously perform and successfully achieve its vision and mission, the administration department distributed post-course questionnaires to heads of department by which they monitored the performance and productivity levels officers and staff. From the feedback, it was found that the courses had positively contributed to the participants. It is hoped that their productivity will contribute towards the development of MoRA.
He also pointed out that the training at ministry level is more towards inter-departmental concerns, while department level training is focused on the core skills needed in respective departments.
Yesterday’s ceremony also saw the presentation of the 100 hours training log book and a performance by the course participants.
