A TOTAL of 40 delegates from the 41st Ship of the Southeast Asian Youth Programme (SSEAYP) 2014 yesterday conducted a visit to the Curriculum Development Department of the Ministry of Education (MoE).
Present to welcome the delegates was Awang Zulkifli bin Haji Muhammad Yusuf, the Acting Assistant Director of the Curriculum Development Department.
The event began with a welcoming speech by the Acting Assistant Director of the Curriculum Development Department followed by a brief presentation on the Curriculum Development Department as well as the 21st National Education System (SPN21) that led to the discussion of ‘School Education’.
It is part of an exchange programme for international youths carried out specifically for those from the ASEAN countries and Japan.
It is an annual programme that began in 1974 which was organised and sponsored by the Japanese Government in cooperation with Asean countries.
This year, Brunei Darussalam is participating for the 29th time since its first participation in 1985.
The 41st SSEAYP 2014 delegation will be in Brunei until November 16, and will be visiting Cambodia next, followed by Myanmar, Singapore, and Surabaya before returning to Japan.
