THE final stage of the ISO 9001 training for personnel from the departments under the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources (MIPR) concluded yesterday.
Minister of Industry and Primary Resources, Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Utama Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Yahya bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, handed over certificates of completion to the participants at the Dewan Setia Pahlawan at the MIPR Building. He also viewed an exhibition held in conjunction with the certificate presentation.
According to a press release, the training, which commenced in September, is divided into four stages. It aimed to improve service delivery for external and internal customers based on recognised quality management systems. The initiative for ISO9001:2008 system development is slated to be completed by February next year.
“Each stage of the training is dedicated to cover several aspects of ISO9001:2008 which are envisaged to complement the existing activities in Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources,” the press release added.
