Held at the Ministry of Finance, the ceremony opened with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, following which a special religious talk entitled ‘Appreciation of the Haj Pilgrimage’ was delivered by Ustaz Haji Badaruddin bin Haji Basar, a guest speaker from the Islamic Dakwah Centre under the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of donations to intending Haj pilgrims.
Such religious functions are held as an annual activity as the Ministry of Finance prays for the personnel before they leave for the pilgrimage, and at the same time, to strengthen bonds among ministerial officials.
