Bandar Seri Begawan as the capital of Brunei Darussalam has welcomed advancement and positive development with prolific monumental settings pointing towards the sky which depict the culture and concept of the Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) philosophy as illustrated by the construction of the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah and Kampong Ayer.
Public facilities and infrastructure as well as recreational parks were also set up to accommodate the people in a peaceful, comfortable and prosperous environment.
Yesterday’s event also served as a vehicle to lead a movement of religious activities at mosques within the surrounding areas of Bandar Seri Begawan.
The religious ceremony began in earnest with mass Maghrib prayers shortly followed by the recitation of the Surah Yaasiin and the Tahlil led by the Imam of Ash- Shaliheen Mosque.
