BRUNEI Darussalam is currently playing host to a meeting on the production of an Asean coffee table book on cultural diversity which is endorsed by Asean Committee on Culture and Information (COCI) Brunei Darussalam and proposed by Asean COCI sub-committee on culture of Brunei Darussalam.
The two-day meeting held at Bad’iah Hotel is chaired by the Acting Assistant Director for Culture and Arts at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports cum the Vice Chairman on sub-committee on culture, Asean COCI Brunei Darussalam, Awg Hj Mohd Abdoh bin Hj Awg Damit.
They discussed the format, design and on submitting the draft in the next COCI meeting scheduled to be held in Siam Reap, Cambodia at the end of the month.
The content of the book will include a special section written by a prominent local writer, Awg Hj Mohammad Rozan bin Dato Paduka Hj Mohammad Yunos, who is also the Permanent Secretary (Media and Cabinet) at the Prime Minister’s Office, on cultural diversity in Asean and the rest will cover topics on demography, arts, people, landscapes, places of interest in the four districts.
