STUDENTS and teachers from Maktab Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah (MDPMAMB) recently visited the Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic Boys Secondary School (SMALHB).
The visit was aimed at forging and strengthening relations between the two Sixth Form institutions, as well as to provide an opportunity for each school’s Students Representative Council (MPP) to interact and know each other.
The group was led by the Principal of MDPMAMB, Cikgu Marina Chek binti Bujang. Upon arrival, the group was welcomed by the Acting Principal of SMALHB, Ustazah Hajah Norjainah binti Haji Buntar, along with teachers and Students Representative Council of the school.
The group was also taken to view the SMALHB’s gallery and musolla, which was recently opened in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the laying of the school’s foundation stone.
The event continued at the school’s main hall.
The Surah Al-Fatihah and doa was recited by the President of SMALHB students council, Abd Muhaimin bin Dr Hj Serbini.
The Deputy Principal of SMALHB, Ustazah Hajah Azizah binti Haji Mohamad, on behalf of the school, welcomed and thanked the group for their visit, and hoped for more areas of cooperation between the two institutions.
The Principal of MDPMAMB in her speech thanked SMALHB for their hospitality.
The event also showcased performances from both schools, including tausyeh and choir performances.
The event concluded with the exchange of souvenirs between the two schools.
