A MASS cleaning campaign is scheduled to be held December 5 and December 7, organised by the Brunei-Muara District Office in collaboration with other government agencies as well as the village consultative councils, as a continuation to initiatives for zones under the umbrella of the BSB Municipal Board.
The cleaning campaign places will be split into two groups on both dates, Group A and B.
On December 5, Group A will cover Kg Pengiran Bendahara Lama, Kg Pengiran Tajuddin Hitam, Kg Pengiran Kerma Indera Lama, Kg Tamoi Tengah, and Kg Tamoi Ujung. The meeting point will be at Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Mosque in Kg Tamoi.
Group B will comprise Kg Ujung Bukit and Kg Limbongan, with the meeting being at the Kg Ujung Bukit parking zone.
On December 7, Group A will cover Kg Sungai Tilong, Kg Sungai Akar, Kg Sungai Hanching, Kg Salambigar, and Kg Lambak, with the meeting point at Warisan Complex.
Group B will cover Kg Madang, Kg Manggis, National Housing Scheme (RPN) Zone 3/4/5 Kg Lambak Kiri. The meeting point will be at the Madang Complex.
Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and communities in the areas are welcome to participate in the cleaning campaign.
The Brunei-Muara District Office also advised that its Enforcement Unit will actively monitor the cleanliness and environment of all commercial buildings and residential areas under the control of the district office and will not hesitate to issue compound fines to parties found guilty under acts related to Minor Offences Act Chapter 30, Paragraph 12.
