A 29-YEAR-OLD Indonesian man received a three-month jail sentence after he pleaded guilty before the Bandar Magistrate’s Court to theft.
Abdul Rasyid admitted stealing from a house in Kampong Sungai Radang Selapon, Batu Apoi in Tem-burong between December 31, 2014 and January 4.
Chief Magistrate Muhammed Fai-sal PD Kefli heard that Abdul Rasyid stole a Kukri knife, two silver rings, a Playstation game console, a Nat Geo bag, a Canon 7D camera, a Canon camera ultrasonic and a Ca-non speedlite flash.
The court was informed that the defendant works as a driver for a Malay woman and stayed at her Chinese brother-in-law’s house from which the defendant stole. The incident was reported by a neighbour of the home owner who then met the defendant and found the stolen items in a garbage bag.
More of the items were found in the defendant’s room at the house of his employer.
