KUALA LUMPUR (Xinhua) – Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will arrive in Kuala Lumpur Tuesday for a three-day official visit to Malaysia, providing impetus to further cement and elevate the Malaysia-Bangladesh relations in the future, an official statement said.
During the visit, the prime ministers of the two countries will hold a bilateral meeting that will provide opportunities for both sides to review the existing relations and cooperation as well as identify potential areas for future collaboration, the Malaysian government said in the statement.
“Both leaders will also witness the signing of several agreements and memorandums of understanding between both countries, “ it said.
Malaysia and Bangladesh enjoy warm and friendly relations at all levels sustained by the strong economic relations where Malaysia remains the largest investor in Bangladesh among Asean (the Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries, the statement said.
“Furthermore, both countries also engage in various other cooperation notably in the areas of education and training, infrastructure development, defense cooperation and people-to- people connection,” it said.
