MAKTAB Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah’s (MDPMAMB) Co-Curricular Activity (CCA) Section organised trips to three primary schools in conjunction with the school’s Bakti Pelajar Early Childhood Classroom Programme recently, a press releases stated.
The Bakti Pelajar Programme was set up in 2011 by the CCA Section in Maktab Duli and each year, different schools are selected for the programme.
The objective of this programme is to expose students to compassionate and charitable actions.
A total of 86 students as well as the college’s lecturers and administration staff, volunteered to lend a helping hand. The three schools visited were Panglima Barudin Limau Manis Primary School, Pengiran Mahkota Primary School in Tutong and Bebuloh Primary School.
The programme lasted all morning and most of the afternoon. The students were divided among the three schools and they carried out several activities ranging from cleaning up selected areas, organising classrooms, as well as painting and creating murals on the walls. The activities were based on preferences of and discussions with staff from the respective schools.
