HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Minister of Defence and the Supreme Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, yesterday afternoon consented to receive in audience General Worapong Sanganetra, the Chief of Defence of the Royal Thai Armed Forces.
Present at the audience were Siripon Thaitrong, Deputy Head of Mission of the Royal Embassy of Thailand in Brunei Darussalam; Admiral Taweewuth Pongsapipatt, the Deputy Chief of Defence of the Royal Thai Armed Forces; General Sommai Kaotira, the Chief of Joint Staff, Royal Thai Armed Forces; General Surapong Suwana-Adth, the Deputy Chief of Joint Staff, Royal Thai Armed Forces; and General Tarnchaiyan Srisuwan, the Chief of Staff Officer to the Chief of Defence of Royal Thai Armed Forces.
Also present during the audience were Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces; Dato Paduka Haji Hamdan bin Haji Abu Bakar, Permanent Secretary (Security and Enforcement) at the Prime Minister’s Office; and Datin Paduka Hajah Suriyah binti Haji Umar, Permanent Secretary (Administration and Finance) at the Ministry of Defence.
The audience took place at the Istana Nurul Iman.
