HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to leave London, United Kingdom after holding a meeting with David Cameron, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, and also the Signing Ceremony of the Exchange of Letter and Note between Brunei Darussalam and the United Kingdom.
Before leaving Kensington Palace Gardens, a Doa Selamat was read by Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.
Also present were His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen and Her Royal Highness Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bolkiah.
Present at the Heathrow Airport, London to bid farewell to His Majesty were Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II; Pehin Datu Singamanteri Colonel (Rtd) Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Awang Haji Mohammad Yasmin bin Haji Umar, Minister of Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office; Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat, Deputy Minister of Defence; and Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, the High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to the United Kingdom.
Accompanying His Majesty was Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister of Finance II at the Prime Minister’s Office.
