NO SOONER did the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) release the sketches of two persons of interest associated with the recent Shahbandar murder case, the social media was abuzz with the sketches circulated among the users.
But its ugly side reared its head soon with people posting lookalikes of the sketches and understandably they went viral.
Many Bulletin readers called the hotline to complain against such callous behaviour. “I received a couple of photos and I deleted them,” said one of them.
“It was meant to be a joke but it was not. It’s not something to laugh about or be made fun of. It’s high time we use our Twitter handles and WhatsApp responsibly,” she added.
