LOCALS and tourists alike can visit the Mukim Telisai stalls to enjoy the monthly sales festival on the final weekend of every month after it was launched in a ceremony yesterday.
Organised by the Telisai Mukim and Village Consultative Council, the festival was officiated by the guest of honour, Wardi bin Hj Mohammad Ali, Tutong District Officer. Also in attendance was YB Hj Ramli bin Hj Lahit, Penghulu Mukim Telisai and a member of the Legislative Council.
According to Hj Salamt bin Suaji, coordinator of the festival, “The sales fest has 36 stalls offering products from Mukim Telisai and the Tutong District. It aims to provide an avenue for villagers to earn side income while promoting products available in those villages.
“The festival will be organised every last weekend (Saturday and Sunday) of each month from 7am. Side events will also be held for children.”
Wardi bin Hj Mohammad Ali also toured the festival to take a closer look at the ‘one village, one product’ items.
