A LOCAL man, aged 40, managed to survive a serious self-accident with only injuries to his hand and arms after the vehicle that he was driving plunged into a drainage at the National Housing Scheme of Rimba yesterday morning.
Two fire engines and 10 fire fighters, led by Assistant Station Officer Abdul Mazid bin Haji Mohammad from the Rimba Fire Station came to the aid of the victim and managed to pull him out from the drain.
According to the police report, an emergency call about the accident was received at 11.40am. The Royal Brunei Police Force is currently investigating the cause of the accident.
