A TOTAL of 44 participants comprising teachers, officers and students from Wasan Vocational School and the LiveWIRE Brunei Business Network (LWBN) yesterday attended the first Visioning Workshop for 2015 conducted at the Multi-Purpose Hall of Wasan Vocational School.
This is the eighth workshop organised by LiveWIRE since 2010.
Programme facilitator for the workshop and Programme Director of LiveWIRE Brunei, Pg Redzuan Pg Hj Abbas, explained that the one-and-a-half day programme was designed to assist the structural planning for business start-ups, as well as to engage and groom members for executive roles, thus producing a cooperative committee.
He explained that the workshop was aimed at establishing committed individuals in driving the organisation to realise and accomplish its vision.
The workshop activities included group discussions on identifying and understanding the organisation’s vision, business strategy and industry forces, as well as establishing community values as a guide for the organisation’s decision-making process.
LiveWIRE Brunei is the community development flagship of Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP), which aims to encourage young people to view starting their own businesses as a desirable career option.
