THIS is in no way a criticism of the noble effort of one of the Board of Directors of Chung Hwa Middle School who is footing the bill to build an overhead pedestrian bridge for the safety of the school children.
Three huge trees, may be as old as the school itself or older, were felled to make way for the construction of the overhead bridge. Couldn’t the architects of the bridge do something to retain the trees in their plan? The area looks so barren now without the trees.
I salute the effort to build the bridge as the safety of students is top priority.
