THE Brunei Darussalam National Netball Players through the Brunei Darussalam Netball Association (BNA) in collaboration with the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital will be organising a Blood Donation Campaign today, from 8am to 11am at the Commonwealth Room of the Sports Development and Coaching Unit, Youth and Sports Department at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.
The main objective of the blood donation is to contribute to the society, as well as exposing the national players to the public.
Asziah, one of the national players told the Weekend Bulletin, “We are looking for the public’s support in order to make this event a success and at the same time, help increase the government blood bank.
“As we all know, it is difficult to find specific blood groups in order to help those who really need them. This blood drive is open to members of the public who wish to donate their blood for a good cause.”
In order to donate, the donor has to be 50kg or above and will be checked by RIPAS Hospital staff prior to donation. It is important for the donor to not consume anything containing caffeine before and after the donation.
