THE third intake of students from Politeknik Brunei will hold an official opening ceremony for its Extreme Games Knockout Carnival and Orienteering Games, which will be held at the Serasa Beach Sports Complex today.
This carnival is the final year project of ‘Malicious Ivy’ group, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The purpose of this event is to expose participants to healthy activities that challenge themselves by improving self-confidence, as they deal with obstacles and challenges.
The event will be held over two days – January 31 and February 1.
Extreme games will include a flying fox, abseiling, tree climbing and kayaking, while the Orienteering games held on February 1, will see participation from eight teams consisiting of five members each. The winners will receive medals, certificates of participation, hampers and vouchers.
