A THREE-DAY Leadership Camp for 30 members of the Student Council and Peer Guides from Awang Semaun Secondary School (SMAS) began yesterday.
The camp is held by the school to train the students on the skills and values of good leadership.
Various activities have been lined up for the next three days such as Qiamullail at Sungai Asam Mosque, morning exercises and cleaning the Muslim cemetery at Kampung Sungai Kebun.
Speakers from two well-known volunteer agencies KESAN and AIDS Council will also be there to share their knowledge with the participants.
The school’s decision to organise the camp is due to the success of its Self-Actualisation Camp or Kem Jati Diri held for Year 10 students not long ago, which received encouraging response from the participants.
While the format of this camp will be different, thorough preparation in terms of logistics and manpower have been done to ensure that the three-day camp will run smoothly.
