THE Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) and Civil Service Institute jointly organised the Public Officers’ Law Seminar: Understand the Law 2017 at the Civil Service Institute recently.
Senior government officers from various ministries and departments – whose duties extend to matters involving law-making, contract management or international treaties or matters dealing with enforcement, within their respective purviews – attended the seminar.
An array of topics were presented including an introduction to the general legal principles relevant to public officers to promote effective performance of their duties in the public service within the bounds of the law.
It also served as a platform for networking and sharing of views and experience among AGC officers and other public officers.
The two-day seminar concluded yesterday with the presentation of certificates to the participants by Alice Khan binti Ahmad Khan, Acting Solicitor General and Legal Draftsman.
The seminar was first introduced in 2016 and is intended to be held annually.
