LANDBANK welcomed LR Remittance and Cendana Remittance as the newest partners in Brunei Darussalam to serve 22,000 Filipinos working in various fields in services, medical, technical and other professional and managerial positions.
Landbank President and CEO Gilda Pico and LR Remittance Owner and Managing Director Poh Yin Goh signed the remittance agreement at the Philippine Embassy in Brunei in the presence of Philippine Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, Nestor Z Ochoa as the principal witness.
Branch Banking Sector Head/EVP Jocelyn Cabreza, Overseas Remittance Officer (ORO) for Brunei and Indonesia Grace Sausa and Chan Chi Gyn signed as witnesses from the two signing parties.
Likewise for Cendana Remittance, the MoA Signing was also conducted at the Philippine Embassy with officials witnessing the signing led by the Philippine Ambassador Nestor Z Ochoa.
Managing Director Haji Danny bin Haji Roslee signed the agreement with Landbank Pres & CEO Gilda Pico as principal signatories while EVP Cabreza, ORO Sausa signed as witness from LandBank and Ms Putri Maharani signed as witness from Cendana.
Both remittance companies are located at Bandar Seri Begawan, the central business district of Brunei Darussalam but the two companies are located at considerable distance apart from each other to be competitive to market and welcome Filipino remitters.
The partnership with these two companies provides greater access for people using its services through the Landbank remittance system.
Beneficiaries will be notified through SMS once their remittance is available for withdrawal from their Landbank accounts or for cash pick-up at any branch in Philippines.
