LABUAN (Bernama) – The Labuan 1Malaysia Community (Komuniti 1Malaysia or K1M) and the Labuan Information Department jointly launched a flood relief fund Tuesday to help floods victims in floods-hit states nationwide.
A total of 18 K1M on the island collected cash and essential goods to be channelled to victims via the Kuala Lumpur Information Department.
The information department director here, Materri Marusin said the department was collaborating with various parties, including non-governmental organisations and community leaders to help achieve its objective of helping flood victims.
He said this after receiving cash donations from K1M representatives here today.
Donors are advised to contribute items that can be sent directly to the information department office at Ujana Kewangan Complex here or their respective community or village heads.
