FRESHCO will be a haven for craft lovers on November 30 as the La Vida Craft Bazaar opens to the public. There will be works of art from decoupage gifts, jewelleries, home decors, quilts, toys among others by Craft Angels.
According to a press release, Craft Angels is a group of ladies who gather every Wednesday to make crafts for sale to support a local non-profit organisation La Vida Bhd. Through this craft making project, the ladies use their time, skills and talents to fundraise for programmes that serve less fortunate families and the special needs in the Sultanate. They also build friendship, learn new craft and cooking skills from one another.
La Vida Bhd’s mission is to support the families through various programmes. It facilitates motivational talks for students, organises community sports and art programmes for children and youths of all abilities, holds family care programmes such as parenting talks. They also run music sessions at the Kiarong Psychiatric Rehabilitation Centre as well as conducting art and craft sessions for the children ward of RIPAS Hospital.
The La Vida Craft Bazaar will run from 10am–5pm on November 30 at the Atrium of Freshco in Batu Satu.
