A GROUP of 12 students from the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) left Brunei yesterday to start their Study Abroad & Exchange Student Programme in Malaysia for the 2014/2015 session.
The prime objective of the programme is to enable students to expand their study experience in a different academic setting abroad.
Mustazir Hj Md Alias, a Year 3 student majoring in Usuluddin Religious Teaching, expressed his gratitude for receiving the opportunity to join the programme.
According to him, it will be his first study experience abroad for six months and he hopes that the new learning experience will reinvigorate him to excel in studies.
In another interview, Nur Insyirah @ Nurkawaeaba Hj Mohd Mansor, a Year 2 student, also majoring in Usuluddin Religious Teaching, expressed her appreciation for being selected to join the programme and said that she will utilise her time in Malaysia to gain international academic experience and share the knowledge with her colleagues and friends after her return.
She also advised other students to strive hard in their studies to gain knowledge and be sincere in their academic efforts to achieve their goals in life.
Present at the airport to send off the students were the Dean of Students, Dean of the Faculty of Usuluddin, Dean of the Faculty of Syariah, Deputy Deans, officers and staff members of the Student Affairs Section as well as the family members and relatives of the students.
