IN CELEBRATING 30 years of diplomatic relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Korea, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in cooperation with Times Square Management will be organising a Korean Festival at Times Square Shopping Centre.
In a press release from the embassy, it said the event will be held for three consecutive days on October 17-19 and will see activities and performances lined up such as musical entertainment by “Bibap”, cooking demonstration, martial arts demonstration, running man game, hanbok dress-up, performances by the Korean Culture Clubs in Brunei, car exhibition and Korean product showcase.
The embassy welcomes members of the public to come and enjoy the activities and performances at Times Square throughout the festival as there will be prizes to be won such as roundtrip airway tickets to Korea, Samsung TV, mobile phones, tablet pc and so forth.
The “Korean Festival” will be an anticipated event where visitors are able to experience the diverse elements of the Korean culture in a single venue and will include several key events, games and activities which will be supported and concurrently run by the Korean Embassy and Korea Tourism Organization to bring together diverse exhibitors, performers and fans to bring contemporary Korea to the heart of Brunei.
Apart from celebrating the 30th year of diplomatic relations, the festival also aims to promote and strengthen Brunei-Korea friendly relations by promoting, educating, and introducing Korean Culture on their latest technology, products and lifestyle to the Brunei market.
At the same time, it also aims to expand business opportunities and to gain deeper mutual understanding between Brunei and Korea, provide a platform for showcasing Korean products, culture, lifestyle and technologies to the public in Brunei and to attract customers to the premise and increase business potential for the tenants.
