KOPERASI Rimbun Berhad (KOPRI) yesterday held a promotion ceremony for 11 of its security personnel at its office in Kg Jaya Setia Berakas.
The guest of honour who presented the personnel with their promotion insignia was Dato Paduka Seri Haji Abdul Rahman bin Awang Haji Besar, the CEO of KOPRI.
The ceremony saw SEC 953 Mohd Don bin Hj Nasar and SEC 1789 Ramlee bin Hj Mohammad promoted to Chief Supervisor while SEC 1108 Muhd Fadillah bin Abdullah, SEC 366 Hj Md Razuan bin Hj Dullah and SEC 1843 Hj Hamidon bin Kamis promoted to Senior Supervisor.
SEC 2057 Awg Hassim bin Kadir, SEC 2132 Sapry bin Hamid, SEC 1253 Ahmad Sabtu Jos and SEC 2496 Suhaili bin Hj Saidin were also promoted to Supervisor while the remaining two personnel, SEC 1576 Misliah binti Masri and SEC 1596 Hjh Hamidah binti Hj Bungsu were promoted to Assistant Supervisor.
KOPRI was established in 1998 and has over 500 personnel currently, with a majority of them comprising retirees from the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) and Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF).
Promotions are based on the company’s evaluation of its personnel’s performances as well as recommendations from their clients. Some are also based on their academic background after completing a probation period of three months.
The promotion serves as a recognition of the personnel’s hard work and dedication and at the same time aims to motive them to excel further and be an example to their colleagues.
