EIGHTY children between the ages of five and 12 years are currently immersed in a three-day school holiday programme organised by the Library and Education and Resource Unit at the Ministry of Education.
Launching the programme at the Berakas Forest Reserve yesterday was the Director of the Curriculum Development Department, Hj Abd Rahman bin Hj Nawi.
According to the organisers, this is the fourth edition of the programme, and it provides an opportunity for school children to make good use of their holiday by participating in activities such as story-telling, answering quizzes, as well as playing with jigsaw puzzles, origami, and block games in addition to field trips.
The children are scheduled to pay a visit to the Health Promotion Centre in Berakas on the second day of the programme and a closing ceremony will be held on the final day at the ministry.
