KFC’S delectable Double Down is now back in Brunei after two years with double the crunch. Reinstated as Double Down Maxx, it preserves its signature hot and spicy Zinger fillet replacing the buns, sandwiching a hash brown, a slice of cheese and a layer of smoky chipotle sauce.
“Taglined as ‘A Big Taste You Just Can’t Let Go!’, it has been two years since we previously launched the Zinger Double Down and we still have customers reminiscing the times when they had to follow our Facebook to keep track of which outlets still have the product because as soon as the Zinger Double Down became available, it was quickly sold out,” said Jonathan Bong, Senior Marketing Manager, KFC (B) Sdn Bhd.
Bong added that they cannot guarantee that the Double Down Maxx will always be available, but they have taken extra measures to build up the stocks over the months. “This is after all a KFC product that went viral in every country where it has been launched and it even has its own Wiki page.”
The Double Down Maxx is now available at all KFC outlets in Brunei – either in a combo including one regular size carbonated drink and one regular size Cheezy Wedges, or as an ala carte meal.
In line with the launch, KFC is also organising a Double Down Maxx Challenge where participants can take a selfie with the Double Down Maxx burger in the most creative manner and post and tag the picture on Instagram according to the rules.
At the end of the contest, the top 10 most outstanding and creative posts will win a B$50 voucher of their choice and the business establishments must be in Brunei (not limited to KFC vouchers only).
