The two women will also compete for another two prizes, Best Song – for which Katy’s ‘Dark Horse’ is nominated with Ariana’s ‘Problem’ – and Best Pop.
‘Happy’ hitmaker Pharrell Williams is nominated for five trophies, as are newcomers 5 Seconds of Summer.
They are followed by One Direction, Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea, Eminem, Sam Smith and Kiesza, who have all received four MTV EMA nominations each. – BANG!
