PRIZES were yesterday awarded to winners of the Kapal Api Display Contest 2014 (Lower Trade category) during a ceremony held at Millennium Restaurant.
The ceremony was organised by Indadi Utama and its local distributor, Bintang Ria Sdn Bhd.
The contest, which ran from April 15 to June 15, saw the top three winners taking home trophies and cash prizes.
The winners were chosen by Indadi Utama and Bintang Ria officials, who judged based on creativity, display, space, location and duration.
“The contest aimed to promote Kapal Api products in Brunei and to bring out the creativity skills of participating retailers,” said Frankie Ridzal, Director of Indadi Utama (M) Sdn Bhd, in his opening remarks.
Kapal Api is the leading coffee brand in Indonesia and its popularity continues to grow in Brunei.
NurFM Minimart bagged the $888 first prize, while Orbit Supermarket was awarded the second prize of $688, and Mah Moon Enterprise the $388 third prize.
The prizes were presented by Frankie Ridzal, Indadi Utama Export Manager Rachal Lam and Bintang Ria Sdn Bhd Managing Director Jimmy Tiong.
The day also saw the launch of Oatbits, a new product manufactured under the umbrella of the company.
Briefing attendees on the new product, Export Manager Rachal Lam noted that the highly nutritional oat biscuit is a practical hunger gap solution packed with oats and fruits, and enriched with complete, balanced vitamins and minerals.
“The total nutrition will support your heart’s health, gives you energy and support your basic nutrition,” she explained.
Oatbits comes in three flavours – Raisins, Vitafruit and Strawberry Yoghurt.
