THE Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) recently received a group of visitors from the Bangkok Dusit Medical Services. The group led by Dr Nopparat Panthongwiriyakul, Deputy Hospital Director, Bangkok Nursing Home (BNH) Hospital was welcomed by Chung Yea Fui, Director of Nursing of JPMC, Chris Carvalho, Hospital Administrator and Ak Danny Pg Tajuddin, JPMC Marketing Officer.
Present at the event were Siriporn Chaimongkol, Minister/Deputy Chief of Mission from the Royal Thai Embassy; Rozita binti Hj Tamin, Deputy Dean of Administration, Institute of Health Sciences (IHS) at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) and; Dk Dr Nurolaini Pg Hj Md Kifli, Acting Dean of Administration, IHS, UBD.
Also in attendance were Dato Dr Hj Isham bin Jaafar, Executive and Medical Director of JPMC and Associate Professor Dr Kenneth Kok, Medical Director of The Brunei Cancer Centre (TBCC).
During the visit Ak Danny Pg Tajuddin presented an overview on JPMC followed by a video and slide presentation on BNH Hospital from the Thai delegates. The presentation continued with a question-and-answer session.
“I am pleased to welcome the Thai delegates to JPMC. During the visit we discussed possible future collaboration between BNH Hospital, JPMC and The Brunei Cancer Centre and also shared ideas, hospital overview and success stories,” said Dato Dr Hj Isham.
BNH Hospital has over 100 years of medical and care experience for Thais and expatriates. The hospital provides a wide range of medical services including BNH Spine Centre, BNH Shoulder and Joint Centre, Senior Care Clinic, Radiology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Pediatrics, Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery, Ophthalmology to name a few. BNH Hospital has been awarded various accreditations including the Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation.
The visit concluded with a tour around JPMC including the Outpatient Department, TBCC and Gleneagles JPMC. The visiting group from Bangkok is in the country from November 16-20.
