JERUDONG Park Medical Centre (JPMC) yesterday presented a $1,106.20 cheque to the Brunei Darussalam National Association of the Blind (BDNAB), money of which was raised during the November 9 JPMC Charity Car Booth Sale to mark World Sight Day.
JPMC Marketing Officer Ak Danny bin Pg Tajuddin noted the proceeds were collected from registration fees paid by vendors, activities held at the charity car booth sale and donations.
“We believe this donation will benefit the Brunei Darussalam National Association of the Blind, a non-profit organisation, in its quest to raise awareness on blindness in the country,” he explained.
The project received very encouraging response with a total of 47 vendors registering for the charity car booth sale.
The cheque was presented by JPMC Executive and Medical Director Dato Paduka Dr Haji Isham bin Haji Jaafar to BDNAB President Jamary Danggat.
