TO kick start the New Year, Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) conducted a recycling drive to create awareness on conserving the environment. The recycling drive took place at its premises as part of their ‘green’ activity.
According to a press release, over 580 kg of paper materials were collected for the cause – a 326.47 per cent increase from last year where JPMC collected 136 kg.
All the employees contributed to the project as they brought along their old newspapers, cardboard boxes and magazines to be recycled.
All these items are then collected by Daikyo Environmental Recycling Sdn Bhd, local recycling company at the end of the day.
“JPMC is strongly committed to its environmental conservation project, which is part of its corporate social responsibility. Every year, the employees of JPMC play their part to help recycle all their used items for eco-friendly purposes,” said Ak Danny bin Pg Tajuddin, Marketing Officer of JPMC.
He also believed that the drive will help inspire the society to practise good recycling habits and preserve the nature.
By implementing the recycling drive, JPMC has shown its concern and commitment towards conserving the environment.
JPMC has a strong focus on sustainability towards health, environment and corporate social responsibilities.
It featured in countless community-driven activities and programmes from cleaning campaigns to recycling projects, and is constantly looking forward towards ‘what’s next’.
