A DELEGATION from the Indonesian Red Cross, accompanied by the Brunei Red Crescent Society, recently visited the Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC).
The delegation, comprising 13 medical practitioners, was led by Drs H Margani M Mustar, the Chairwoman of the Indonesian Red Cross.
Present to welcome the delegates were Dato Dr Isham Jaafar, the Executive and Medical Director of JPMC and Chung Yea Fui, the Nursing Director of JPMC.
In his welcoming speech, Dato Dr Isham Jaafar said, “JPMC welcomes the educational visit of the delegation and would like to seize the opportunity to exchange knowledge with the Indonesian Red Cross. In addition, this visit can also help to establish an affinity between Brunei and Indonesia.”
The visit started with a brief introduction of the hospital presented by Ak Danny Pg Tajuddin, the Marketing Officer of JPMC and Brian Beltran, a representative from the Emergency Medical Team (EMT) of JPMC.
Drs H Margani M Mustar also shared knowledge on how they provide and prepare a thousand blood transfusions on a daily basis for Indonesia.
The delegates were also taken on a tour of the various departments and wards of JPMC as well as an introduction of the facilities, treatment and equipment available at the hospital, led by Muhammad bin Hj Abd Ghani, the Administrative Manager of JPMC.
