JPMC won the BMA & BAMLS Futsal Champions Cup Tournament 2014 jointly organised by the Brunei Medical Association (BMA) and the Brunei Darussalam Association Medical Laboratory Scientists (BAMLS) at the Multipurpose Hall of the Public Works Department Sports Complex.
The A&E team took first runners-up spot while the Dental team settled for third place.
A total of 12 teams participated in the tournament using a league format whereby the top two teams in four groups advanced to the later stages.
The objectives of the tournament were to provide support and encouragement to all members of the Ministry of Health as well as from the BMA and BAMLS associations to be fit and active in sports to enhance health and prosperity; create a healthy workforce in the BMA and BAMLS associations and to introduce futsal through its management.
The guest-of-honour at the event was the Senior Special Duties Officer at the Ministry of Health, Haji Mahrub bin Haji Murni.
