A DELEGATION of officers from the Islamic Studies Department was recently on a working visit to Sultan Hashim Batu Apoi Primary Religious School in Temburong which was co-organised by the Head of Temburong District Inspectorate and the Head Amali Ugama Unit at the Inspectorate Section, Islamic Studies Department (JPI).
The main objectives of the visit was to ensure the religious school students are able and capable to perform their ablution and prayers properly. It was also aimed to enlighten the Amali teachers on the essential features in taking ablution and performing prayer.
During the visit, the delegation took the opportunity to donate school attire and stationery to four needy pupils. The Headmaster of Sultan Hashim Batu Apoi Religious School, Ustazah Erni Surayani binti Mohamad and the Assistant Temburong District Islamic Studies Officer (PPID), Awang Abd Mutalif bin Hj Sulaiman, were among those present to witness the presentation ceremony.
Among the recipients was a newly-converted pupil who chose his Muslim name as Mohd Firash bin Muhammad Mu’in, previously known as Saiful Ruddin Anak Munggin.
The donation was a collaborative effort between the Temburong School Inspectorate and the Inspectorate Section under the Islamic Studies Department (JPI).
The visit was led by the Head of Temburong District School Inspectorate, Ustazah Hjh Barizah binti Hj Ibrahim, accompanied by the Head of Inspectorate Section, Hasbi Mohd Suhaily and the Head of Amali Ugama Unit, Ustazah Hj Abd Mujiburrahman bin Hj Abd Hamid.
Also present were the heads of unit from religious school, Arabic school and school inspectors representing Brunei-Muara, Tutong, Belait and Temburong Districts.
