THE Islamic Studies Department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs held its National Religious Programme for January 1436H/2015M yesterday at the Haji Md Salleh Religious School, Sungai Hanching.
It was held to instil interest among the students to practise the correct way of congregational prayer by the tenets and terms of Islam, as well as to focus on the students’ ability to lead congregational prayers.
The programme hopes to produce individuals who are sincere in carrying out everyday activities.
The programme commenced with a Tazkirah (reminder) on congregational prayer, followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Ratib Al-Attas. It concluded with the recitation of “Doa Peliharakan Sultan”.
The programme was carried out simultaneously in selected religious schools nationwide.
In Brunei-Muara, it was carried out at Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic Boys Secondary School, in Tutong at Lamunin Religious School, in Kuala Belait at Ahmad Tajuddin Religious School and in Temburong at Bokok Religious School.
