THE Jerudong International School (JIS) last Wednesday held the ‘JIS Higher Education Evening’ – two sessions of talks regarding Higher Education in various countries – for its Year 12 students at its Arts Centre.
In his opening address, Barnaby Sandow, Principal of JIS, talked of the next steps that JIS Year 12 students take as they leave the school to destinations around the world.
The talks were conducted by external experts and teaching staff from JIS.
According to Russel Mann, the Dean of Higher Education, the purpose of the talks was to provide information to the parent body of the Year 12 students in the lead up to overseas university application this October to November.
The first session comprised talks for Higher Education in Australia, Canada, Germany, United Kingdom while the second session comprised talks on Australia, Oxbridge/Medicine, United Kingdom and the United States.
There were also several booths with information on studying in Australia, Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, United States of America and Brunei (UBD and ITB).
